TFICast 71: Dinosaurs and Moon Landings

Jeremy and Erik are joined one final time with Cousin Keith.  Keith talks about his future dreams and desires.  Jeremy wonders why dinosaurs didn’t come back after their extinction.  The guys try to articulate how they imagine 1969.  They then spend a lot of time wondering why if we landed on the moon 40 years ago haven’t we gone further.  Erik compares the space program to corporate food science.  Jeremy gives props to cell phone marketing companies.   iPhones are compared to the original Apollo computers.

TFICast 70: Generations

Jeremy, Erik and Keith upset The Het? Maybe. We’re not sure. After playing a new cereal review by the Het Jeremy, Erik and Kieth attempt to dissect the note that the Het sent the show.  They move on to answers 12 questions that relate to each decade in which they grew up in.  Here are the questions:

TFICast 69: Vampires, Werewolves or Zombies?

Jeremy and Erik are once again joined by cousin Keith.  Jeremy finds out the that he is three degrees away from Poultrygeist.  Then they introduce a segment by The Het about Marshmallow Mateys.   The trio then discusses the mundane that is blogs.  Keith admits that he once ran a forlorn love blog.  Grimace is defiled.  A plea is made to The Het for some fresh original material.  Ketih makes a request for two people to e-mail tfi@tficast.com and let us know if Erik is an idiot or not.  Jeremy, Erik and Kieth pay their respects to Michael Jackson.  A turn for the worst is made when Erik and Jeremy tell tasteless jokes about Micheal’s death.  Billy Mays’ death is glossed over.  Keith then asks a question of Vampires, Werewolves or Zombies which Jeremy and Erik convolute the hell out of.  Erik tangents out of control so Jeremy starts throwing him topics to connect.  Kieth describes his first experience with MULE and then talks about Madison, WI.  A final request is made for The Het to provide us with some material.

TFICast 68: Degeneration

68Jeremy and Erik are joined by guest host Cousin Keith.  After the formalities are made the entire show degenerates into high-school/college drinking, girls and drug stories.  It’s a trip down memory lane with some pretty embarrassing stories.  First Jeremy tells a high school 4:20+Jolt story which leads to disastrous results.  Next Keith tells a story about how to lose a girl in one drunken night.  Then Erik reminds us to be wary of the omelet cook on brunch line.  Micheal Jackson’s death is glossed over as is the movie Poultrygeist.  Plus much much more in this slightly extended three-way TFICast.

TFICast 67: Snacktacular

Jeremy and Erik are joined by Wolfman Snack which leads into a story about a snack laden technical support story.   Erik talks about his memories of presidents.  Then the guys talk about getting older, spending less time at the bars and how to reinvent TFICast.  Call it a mid-pod crisis.  Jeremy talks about his desire to make mashups and how easy he thinks it might be (more to come on that).   The ease of podcasting is discussed with not necessarily positive results.  TFICast is compared to mental puke.

TFICast 64: SYS64738

Jeremy and Erik discuss their origins as it pertains to the Commodore 64.  Jeremy talks about his history with the Bee-Line.  Erik tries to figure out the difference between MODEMS, DSL and cable connections.  Jeremy attempts to explain how it all works.  A MULE update is detailed which leads to a conversation of kids and video games of the 21st century.   The guys talk about the merits of doing absolutely nothing in a completely connected world.  The conversation steers toward the old 1% of the population owning 99% talk.  Jeremy admits that he watched the American Idol finale (and enjoyed it).  The spice of life is discussed.  A plea for some listener feedback is made.

TFICast 63: The Big Brown PodCast

Jeremy runs into an old friend who poo-poos the idea of The Fundamental Interconnectedness of all Things which leads to a discussion of how TFICast fits amonst the plethora of other podcasts.  The guys obtain a new Nintendo Entertainment System, play a game of MULE and then relate it to society.  “TFICast 43: Garage Sale the Movie” resurfaces and Jeremy regrets selling the stuff that he did (however the regret almost instantly resolves itself).  Jeremy and Erik discuss the money trap that is Disney World.  Jeremy finds it difficult to articulate most thoughts.  A parallel between school extracurricular activities and being an electronics dork is made.  Jeremy and Erik reminisce about how cumbersome computers were in the mid to late 80s.

TFICast 62: The Shopkeeper

Due to a PC malfunction Jeremy and Erik crash test the remote podcasting equipment with topics of Janet Jackson’s bits,  the world being a more peaceful place if there were boobs on TV and talk of waiting in lines.  Erik interupts Jeremy to get a bag of chips, then Erik retells the previous three attempts at this weeks episode in two minues.  Erik compares himself to the shopkeep in an RPG which leads into the capitalism of RPGs
