NES Clean up Video Diary #3
It’s been awhile since I’ve made an entry and that’s because I have been hard at work finishing up this project. The first draft clocked in at just over 14 minutes. I showed the draft to Adam (my Creative Consultant) and he offered some suggestions that were mostly already on my mind. The big thing to come out our conversation is that he is going to put together the intro. So anyway, I have a few more edits to do on this thing just to tighten it up a little and then I think it’ll be ready for prime time.
In the meantime, here’s the opening credits music. See if you can guess which games are used here.
NES Clean Up Video Diary #2
The footage successfully converted from AVCHD to DV. It took most of the night. I have to say that I think the footage looks real nice even then it was rendered from HD to SD. I’ve begun logging the tape and taking notes for the narration. I had forgotten that shooting more footage means that you have to log more footage. Hopefully things will move along quicker once I have this logged and a script written. In the meantime, here is a capture from the DV footage.
SmaShit – The Answering Machine
Here is Smashit episode 3.. er 2. er.. ? Well, back in 2007 this was the third Smashit we filmed. I gave the footage to Erik to edit thinking that I would have the second episode we filmed edited before he would have this one done. It’s now 2011 and the second filmed episode still has not been edited. So, this will have to be episode 2 (just ignore the 3 in the video).
TFICast #122: Action Figure
Jeremy and Erik wonder if movie actors buy their own action figures. Then they decide if they would buy figures of themselves. Jeremy sets up a situation where Erik gets the starring role in the upcoming Tintin movie.

The idea is simple, we need a well produced video on how one takes apart a Nintendo Entertainment System and cleans it. I happened to have a spare NES that I was getting ready to sell on eBay. Since it desperately needed a cleaning, I decided to use it as my subject.
